Multicultural Community Builders

The overall goal of CSUMB's service learning program is to help students become "Multicultural Community Builders: students who have the knowledge, skills and attitudes to work effectively in a diverse society to create more just and equitable workplaces, communities and social institutions. SL Requirement

CSUMB's service learning requirement has two components: the Lower Division Service Learning Requirement; and the Upper Division Service Learning Requirement.

Service Learning Capstones

Seniors may complete a service learning Capstone project and additional courses leading to a Service Learning Minor. Through this structure CSUMB provides a developmental pathway to service and civic engagement for students, from their freshman year through graduation.
