Welcome to the Liberal Studies Service Learning page.

If you are enrolled in LS 298S, LS 392S, LS 393S, LS 394S, or LS 398S you must select a service learning placement at one of our partner school sites. Our partnerships include schools that serve a largely underrepresented population. To complete your Placement Request Form please visit student forms and follow the directions for Liberal Studies students.

If you are a distance learner please refer to the Distance Learning page.

Students in Liberal Studies are required to complete two upper division service learning courses before graduation. If you need more information about this requirement please contact Liberal Studies Advising at 582-4560.

All service learning students are required to fill-out the service learning placement and evaluation forms online. They facilitate the liability and risk management process, and serve as the official record that a CSUMB student is working in an officially sanctioned service learning placement.
