

Enid Baxter Blader Awarded A Champion of the Arts
Professor Enid Baxter Blader was awarded as a 2012 Local Champion of the Arts. "Champions were choosen by the Arts Council of Monterey for their unique qualifications and contributions to the local arts community." Among poets, artists & nonprofits, Enid was selected for her partnership work with at -risk youth and the Monterey Film Society. Enid has also demonstrated dynamic leadership as chair of CSUMB's Teledramatic Arts & Technology (TAT) department.
Her creativity, service learning partnerships, and Annual Monterey Bay Youth Film Festivals have put Enid in the public eye and CSUMB's TAT department on a potential filmmakers map. The SL course TAT 399S:TAT in the Community, is taught by Enid and Steven Levinson. Some of the community partners Include; Wellington Smith School, The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey & Salinas, and Rancho Cielo Community School.
